Introducing Eblan

The Eblan team · August 12, 2026

Every developer knows the feeling. You open a pull request at the end of a long day, and the review sits there — for hours, sometimes days. Not because your teammates don't care, but because they're buried in their own work. So you merge with a glance, or worse, you wait, and the context you had in your head quietly evaporates.

We've been on both sides of that exchange more times than we can count, across startups and big companies. Code review is one of the highest-leverage rituals in software — it's how knowledge spreads, how bugs die young, how standards hold. And it's the first thing that falls apart when a team is small and moving fast.

Today we're introducing Eblan: an AI code reviewer that lives in your pull requests and reviews every change like a careful senior engineer. It's available today in private beta.

What Eblan does

Install the Eblan GitHub App, and from then on every pull request gets a real review within minutes. Not a lint pass, not a summary of your own diff back to you — a review:

  • Bugs and edge cases. Logic errors, unhandled failures, race conditions — the subtle stuff that slips past a tired reviewer.
  • Security issues. Injection risks, auth gaps, unsafe data handling, committed secrets.
  • Performance problems. N+1 queries, unbounded loops, accidental O(n²) — caught in the PR, not in production.
  • Concrete fixes. Wherever possible, comments come with a suggested fix you can apply in one click.

Eblan reads the diff together with the surrounding code and your team's conventions, so its feedback fits your project. And it's tuned to prefer precision over recall: it would rather say nothing than nitpick your semicolons.

Why now

Code review by machine has been "almost there" for years. What changed is the reasoning quality of frontier models. A useful reviewer has to understand what a change does — trace data through a system, hold the whole changeset in mind, and know the difference between a real bug and a style preference.

That's why Eblan is built on Claude, Anthropic's frontier AI model. Claude's long context window lets Eblan review the full change with real repo context, and its reasoning quality keeps the signal-to-noise ratio high enough that developers actually read the comments. In our beta so far, about a third of Eblan's comments flag an issue a human reviewer confirmed as real — and nobody has muted it yet.

Who it's for

Eblan is for teams too small to have a staff engineer on every review — solo founders, startups of two to ten, open-source maintainers drowning in drive-by PRs. If you've ever merged your own code because there was nobody to ask, Eblan is for you.

Try it

Eblan is in private beta while we polish the review experience with a first wave of teams. Join the waitlist — we're onboarding new teams every week, and beta teams keep 50% off for their first year after launch.
